EPEx dampers are used in installations located in hazardous (explosive) areas, where dangerous explosive mixtures of various media such as gases, dusts and vapours with air may occur. Owing to application of seals and suitable tongues, the damper design meets the requirements of PN- EN 1751:2014-03 for leakage class 2 or 3.
EPEx dampers are used in ventilation systems, both as final and intermediate elements. Their function is to regulate or completely shut off the airflow using tongues mounted in the housing.
The multi-leaf damper – EPEx – in explosion-proof design is designed in accordance with EN 1127-1:2019-10 and is manufactured in 3 versions (due to the drive installed):
